Though I don’t typically talk about anything personal in nature on my blog, or even online for that matter, I feel like we’ve come to the point where I can share just a little something with you.
Ok, you ready for this?
I have a little known hobby…and not to brag, (well, maybe just a little) but I’m getting pretty good at this. I’ve recently discovered a talent for photography…but not just any photography.
This, is a very specialized type of photography.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. That’s a picture of a cat yawning…but do you have any idea how hard it is to take a picture of a cat yawning?? It’s not like they tell you, “Hey, I’m about to yawn. Huge. Huge yawn. Get the camera ready.”
It’s all about the timing.
But it’s more than just yawning. It’s the angles. The lighting. It’s the ability to turn this:
It’s ok to be jealous. I assure you this has taken years of avid cat talking and practice to blend into my surroundings enough to capture these shots with a keen eye and a swift finger.
Believe me, masterpieces like this are not easily achieved.
I’ll admit, it’s probably a bit unconventional. It’s probably not something I’d list on a school or job application.
“So, what are your hobbies?Tell me about what you like to do in your spare time.”
“I like to take exceedingly unflattering pictures of my cat.”
I just don’t think the world is ready for this progressive style of photography. I’m an artist ahead of my time.
